About

Dr. Heather Reese is a Senior Lecturer and Docent (Associate Professor) in Remote Sensing and GIS at the Department of Earth Sciences at University of Gothenburg. Heather has over 30 years experience in remote sensing and GIS. She has worked with optical data from Landsat, SPOT, MODIS, MERIS and Sentinel-2 and -3, as well as photogrammetric and LiDAR point clouds, and dabbled with radar data. Her primary focus and interest has been on mapping properties and change of Arctic and Sub-arctic vegetation. Heather has worked with remote sensing in her home country, the US, and in her second home country, Sweden.
